Striker Nicolas Anelka’s future at Chelsea is in doubt after talks over a new £120,000-a-week contract stalled.

Chelsea are close to signing Adam Johnson from Middlesbrough in a £5m deal that will see the England Under-21 winger remain at the Riverside until the summer.
