£265,000-A-Week Star Wants Chelsea Move

Jose Mourinho

Former Chelsea target, Radamel Falcao has had a disappointing loan spell at Manchester United this season, and while the club has refused to extend a loan deal or sign him permanently, the Colombian star wants to still stay further in the EPL as his parent club, Monaco aren’t so keen for his return to France.

It has been reported that the player has agreed to relax his heavy wages, and wants his agent to find him another EPL side for next season. Title winners and Liverpool are keen on having the services of the striker, but the West London club are favorites as the 29 year-old forward prefers a London move.

Falcao moved to England last season from France, in a contract that was worth 43 million pounds and 265,000 pounds a week in wages. His form with La Liga side, Atletico Madrid made him one of the most-demanded players 2 seasons ago, and he finally made a big-money move to Monaco on transfer deadline day after shunning off interests from top clubs, including Chelsea.

But things took a change in direction after he picked up a knee injury that kept him out of the world cup. He has experienced a form so dip that he could only manage 4 goals and 4 assist for United all season, compared to when he was the best converting striker in the game, at a time when he single-handedly destroyed Chelsea with his hattrick during the UEFA super cup in 2012. It is however hoped that he could still pick up great form once more, and Stamford bridge might provide him an opportunity.
