Ancelotti heading to fall out with Ghana over Essien

The Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti has played the media well by announcing that he is willing to let his African players leave “early”, at the same time as he agreed to let the Ghana doctors come over and assess the injury to Michael Essien.

“Michael had a scan and I think he will be out for between three and four weeks.

“The aim is to work to improve his injury but I think he will be ready to go on December 28, if he stays well.

“I have no problem with the Ghana doctor coming here. If they want to come here to see Essien, there is no problem.”

Ancelotti is saying he is happy for them all to leave on the 28th, as Chelsea are playing Fulham on that day, so he will let them go after the match. But right now Ghana are having an argument with Fulham, saying that Hodgson has to let John Pantsil join up with the Ghana squad on the 27th, and threatening Fulham with a complaint to FIFA if he plays Pantsil against Chelsea!

It seems that FIFA are legally allowed to take away any points gained at Chelsea if Pantsil plays, but if Essien plays for Chelsea, will they take points of BOTH teams?
