In terms of injuries, the players of Chelsea have been less inflicted as compared to their rivals Arsenal, Manchester United and Manchester City and we think kudos must be given to the medical team of the Premier League defending Champions.
According to latest reports, Spain international and Chelsea left full back Cesar Azpilicueta has suffered a facial injury termed double-cheek fracture. He picked up the facial fracture in Chelsea’s last game against Crystal Palace.
Although, he continued till the end of the game, he reportedly took a crunching blow earlier in the game. The 26-year-old has been the most consistent Chelsea defender from the inception of this season but he will be rested from Chelsea’s FA Cup against Scunthorpe.
However, he is expected to put on a protective mask whenever he will feature for the Blues. In his absence, Baba Rahman will be most certainly be given the nod play. Hiddink will also have centre back Gary Cahill available after the centre back couldn’t recover in time to be part of the squad for the Crystal Palace match.
Meanwhile, Chelsea have not lost any match since Hiddink took over at Chelsea and we hope he fires the club to ending the season as one of the top four clubs on the Premier League log.
