Michael Emenalo, Chelsea’s technical director was in Spain last week, all but for nothing than to watch prospective summer signing, Jorge Resurrección Merodio, alias Koke in action. The 23 years old midfielder has been on the  EPL Leaders’ most-wanted players list for quite a while, and having watched him closely for a long period, they are convinced that the Spanish international should be in Stamford bridge come next summer. A massive bid is currently being prepared to that effect in order to get this wish fulfilled.

The midfielder who has a lot of workrate on the field of play, has a contract with Atletico Madrid, where he has played all his life until 2019. But Chelsea wants to cut down the 45 million pounds buyout clause to 30 million, and also add his former teammate, Filipe Luis in exchange for his signature. The Brazilian left back hasn’t been able to perform at an optimal level for Chelsea since he came from Spain last season. With him not been able to secure a starting berth, the club is ready to release him for the Madrid club where he is also keen on returning to.

Real Madrid’s coach, Ancelloti wants Nigerian international, Mikel Obi at the Bernabeu, and with that likely to happen come summer, Koke will be given a midfield spot, and that’s all the Spaniard need to display his techniques (notably passes and ball possessing). As the Portuguese coach starts preparation towards next season, especially for the Champions League, whose trophy has eluded the special one anytime he is in Stamford bridge, getting Koke will definitely be an icing on the cake for his side. The player will surely be a perfect pawn in the heart of a midfield that already possesses the likes of Matic and Fabregas, and trust Mourinho to move him properly.
