Chelsea, Man City and Man Utd scouting Brazilian starlet Neymar

The Brazilian youngster Neymar Da Silva may only be 18 years-old, but it is already being hotly tipped as the “new Brazilian Messi”, and the Brazil national team coach Dunga is being urged from all sides to find a place for him in the squad to take to South Africa for the World Cup Finals this summer.

He didn’t do any damage to his chances last week by scoring five goals for his club, Santos, in an stunning 8-1 win over Guarani, and it was reported that scouts from Chelsea, Real Madrid, Manchester United and Manchester City were at the game to see him in action.

They were certainly not disappointed, and it will have to be a massive bid to persuade Santos to let him go.

Neymar said himself after the game that he hopes that Dunga was watching and taking notice. “After each minute and each second that goes by, I see myself wearing the Selecao jersey,” Neymar said. “I’ve been trying to play well and score goals. Hopefully Dunga is watching. The dream is not over. Every player wants to be in the national team. I’m glad to have so many people wanting me to be in the national team. I’ll keep playing hard; hopefully there’s a spot left for me.”

It would be fantastic to see such a brilliant talent in the Pemier League. Come on Abramovich, get that cheque book out!
