Chelsea currently have 3 of their players on loan at the Netherlands Eredivisie league side, Vitesse Arnhem. And of recent made plans to get Belgium pro league sides, Royal Mouscron-Peruwelz and Royal White Star Brussels as their feeders team. Chelsea signs heavily every transfer window, and the Stamford Bridge cannot accommodate all the signings due to many reasons.

Ranging from non-guarantee of playing time, work permit and passport issues to home-grown players quota. To solve all these problems, Chelsea loan a majority of them out to designated clubs. And latest to make the addition is Ligue 1 side, Olympique Marseille. Chelsea have made enquires for two of the side’s players regarding potential transfers to the Stamford bridge. But they want to do more as they are planning on a loan-partnership with the club. Marseille is a great side, and a loan at the club is topnotch experience for any player.

Chelsea’s technical director, Michael Emenalo and Marseille president, Vincent Labrune were in talks in order to strike a partnership deal and also conclude the transfer of youth team players, 18 year-olds Jeremie Boga and Charly Musonda to France. The president who was on a recent visit to the Stamford bridge says,

‘Last week I went to Stamford Bridge to watch the [FA Youth Cup] final between Chelsea and Manchester City, and I had dinner after with Michael Emenalo. I told him a club like Marseille was very interested to build something with a club like Chelsea and have some of the young players on loan. Players who have big potential but cannot get into the first team in the Premier League, they come here on loan and the English club pays part of the salary.’

The 2010 French Champions would be keen to have Chelsea’s quality starlets at France, as their additions will help increase the club’s chances of getting regular Champions League spot every season ending.
