Gareth Bale – Tottenham need Joe Cole's experience

The Tottenham defender Gareth Bale thinks that Joe Cole would bring some invaluable Champions League experience to the Spurs side as they prepare to play in Europe’s Premier competition next season.

Harry Redknapp has made no secret of the fact that he would love Cole to join him at White Hart Lane, and Bale backs him up completely.

“I think he is a great player and would be a great signing for us,” said Bale. “If he did come obviously we would welcome him with open arms and he would be an important asset to the squad.”

“His Champions League experience would be an important asset for us. The more experience we have the better.

“A few of our guys have been in the Champions League before but for most of us it will be a new experience that we are looking forward to and if he can bring us more experience then that would be handy.”

From all the rumours around it would seem that Cole is very likely to go to either Arsenal or Spurs, so Bale may get his wish………..
