"It would be an honour" to join Chelsea

Ivory Coast international striker Wilfried Bony has spoken out about a possible move to Chelsea in the future, following his agent speaking out saying “There is interest in the player from the Premier League – Chelsea, Aston Villa included.”

Bony himself has since spoken out about possible dream move to the Champions League winners, “I can’t tell you much about that, but if it’s written that I am going there, that’s a good thing, right?” he laughed. “If they want me, it would be an honour. I would like to join a club like that. I like English football and I’m not afraid to go there. Chelsea are a top club.”

When asked about the possibility of a move in January, he said “We’ll see what happens. For now, I want to focus on playing as well as possible with Vitesse. If there is interest in the winter and the clubs agree, why not?”

Chelsea FC and Vitesse Arnhem are known to have a very good relationship, with Chelsea sending various players to the club on loan. This season alone Vitesse have Gael Kakuta, Tamas Kalas and Patrick Van Aanholt all on loan at their club.

With Chelsea currently expected to make movement in the January transfer window, this would be a good addition to our currently acking strike-force.
