John Terry – We are confident and will be sharp for Arsenal game

The Chelsea captain John Terry was more than happy to see his team win at Porto last night in his 300th game as Chelsea skipper, and thinks the team is going to be well prepared for the crunch match against Arsenal at the emirates on Sunday.

“It’s really important to us,” he said. “A draw would have been a good result but I said we were coming to win the game, and we set out from the start to do that and I thought we did very well,”

“Coming here is always difficult, they are a very good side with some very good players, but I thought we dealt with it well and it was good to get the win. The front men were brilliant and it was a great move down the left for the goal.”

“We are playing with confidence at the moment, there are still some tough games to come, Arsenal at the weekend so we’ll regroup and make sure we are sharp for the game,”

It is a great boost for the team that Frank Lampard has resumed full training and could start against Arsenal, and even better news that Didier Drogba came through 90 minutes last night without any ill effects from his broken rib.

It’s certainly looking good for the Blues at the moment.
