Frank Lampard has been immediately impressed with Carlo Ancelotti’s training technique, and reckons that the team will score more goals with his new system. The first four pre-season games under him have reaped four wins, and Frankie thinks that they now have better organisation than under previous managers.
He said: “Carlo Ancelotti has been very impressive.
“He has many strengths but being very close with his players and being very organised are the main ones.
“We have been working on the organisation of the team. We know we must be organised from the start, front and back.
“Once we have that base and that quality we can score goals and create goals all the time.
“Training has changed. This year there is a lot more football-based stuff.
“From the first day I came back we were playing games, keeping possession and working with the ball.
Frankie also has made the Premiership title his main aim for this season, and thinks that taking the title back off Man Utd is more important than winning the Champions League.
He was asked what his top target was for the coming season. He said: “It’s the league. It’s a lovely feeling to be the best team in your country. I want to get that back.
“The Champions League is definitely something I want to win at least once in my career but we need to get back to winning ways in terms of the league.
“We were dominant for two years and United have been playing fantastically for three years.”
Frankie is only saying what all the fans are thinking, we MUST get back into challenging at the top of the Premier League. We all want to see Ancelotti beat Alex Ferguson and Rafael Benitez on the way to getting that very special trophy, and it is great to see all the players feeling calm and confident ahead of the start of the season.
