Neymar: I dream of playing in Europe, but not yet

Brazilian sensation Neymar has ruled him out of a January move, admitting he has one eye on his National team’s potential triumphs.

The Santos striker has been linked with Chelsea and Manchester City in the Premier League, as well as Spanish giants Barcelona and Real Madrid, with Man City expected to open the bidding this January.

The 20 year-old said: ‘I am happy at Santos, with my family, son, friends, so it’s not the moment to leave.

‘That moment will come because I have the dream of playing in Europe since I was a kid, but that moment hasn’t come yet.

‘Today, I don’t see myself playing for any other team.’

Reports suggest Neymar, along with many young Brazilian stars, are refusing to leave Brazil until after the 2014 World Cup being hosted in Brazil. Before the World cup tagged Brazil 2014 is the Confederations cup, being held in Brazil in June, and the Brazilian admits he has one eye on his national teams exploits.

‘I would be lying if I said I am not thinking about the Confederations Cup,’ he explained.

‘I had two opportunities to play competitions for the national team, one in the Olympics and another in the Copa America, and I feel I am even more prepared now.

‘I am very eager and I hope I will do a good job so we can win the title.’

Neymar is no doubt a very skillful player and I would love to see him play in the Premier League one day. I would however prefer to sign Radamel Falcao currently, who is the best in that position in my eyes. The Brazilian will not make himself available until the summer and we need to invest in January. £48million is very reasonable for the Columbian’s ability. Would you prefer Chelsea to sign the best who is 26? Or a 20 year-old with the potential?
