Revealed – Chelsea Will Pay £20m For £75,000-A-Week EPL Star

John Stones

There are new reports that the pensioners are planning on bidding for Everton and England’s international, John Stones. The 20 year-old versatile defender plays mainly as a central back and right back. The team coach of Chelsea had earlier stated he needs 4 major signings towards the coming season, which includes a defender. He wants quality additions to the present squad in order to get improved performances at the continental level. And by the look of things, Stone might be that defender he was talking about.

The 20 year-old who started his professional football with Championship side Barnley in 2012 made 21 appearances for the team. His impressive displays made Everton sign him in 2013 for 3 million pounds. And went ahead to receive the England’s team call-up the following year and has since featured 4 times for the national side.

Stones has a deal with the Goodison park side until 2019, earning 30,000 pounds per week. But Chelsea are ready to depart with 20 million pounds, which is buyout clause for his services. He is been touted as likely to serve as long-term replacement to John Terry. The 34 year-old resigns next season and Chelsea are in an early search for an heir, a role John Stones, who stands at 6ft 2 is perfect to take up.

Stones has been an impressive regular member of the Everton side, appearing 20 times in his debut season and 21 times in the Premier League this season with a single goal. The goal came against Manchester United during the red devils 3-0 away loss last week. Mourinho hopes he can lure the defender, who is rapidly establishing himself as one of the key defenders to reckon with in the English Premier League. The EPL Champions will be hoping to secure his services when the transfer window opens in the coming weeks.
