The Chelsea transfer rumours are coming in thick and fast now that the World Cup is in its last minutes, and the two rumours that have been most prominent this summer is Chelsea’s pursuit of Sergio Aguero and Fernando Torres.

It seems to be a lot harder to prise Torres away from Liverpool, but it now seems that Aguero is ready to leave Atletico Madrid, and is still extremely keen on moving to Stamford Bridge, even if Torres arrives as competition!

Argentina were disappointing in the World Cup Qualifiers, but with the amount of skill in the squad they can never be written off.

Even with Lionel Messi, Higuain and Tevez could only manage one goal in their opening game against Nigeria, and it took an own goal from Jung-Si Park to open the scoring today, but once they went ahead they relaxed and played some of the excellent football that we know they are capable off.

With Bruce Buck confirming that Chelsea will be making two or three additions this summer, all the fans will be looking out for any Chelsea transfer news on the web.

Personally, i think our most likely marquee signing is likely to be Sergio Aguero from Atletico Madrid, especially because of his remarks earlier this year. But there have been rumours that Man Utd were also interested in taking the young Argentinian to Old Trafford.

Chelsea transfer rumours May 16th – Kaka, Aguero, Torres, Modric and Ashley Cole 10

There is some serious Chelsea transfer news about today, and the Double winners (I love saying that!) are being linked with some of the most famous players in the world.

You can’t get much bigger than Kaka, who is an ex-World Player of the Year, and the second most expensive signing ever (behind his team-mate Ronaldo of course). For some reason, the News Of The World seems to think that Real Marid will be prepared to sell him after an on-and-off season, and will be rebuilding the team again after another trophyless year.

The speculation that Fernando Torres will be leaving Liverpool for Chelsea seems to be gathering pace, and the Mail is reporting that Rafael Benitez is demanding the full £70m sale price so that he can re-invest the whole lot in rebuilding his Liverpool squad, which has underperformed badly this season.

Chelsea fans are expecting a big shake-up to the squad next season, even if they manage to win the historic Double for the first time in their history.

The present team is aging fast, and as Ancelotti has already announced that he will be promoting five players from the youth team, we can expect a few of the older players to make way for them.

The young Atletico Madrid striker Sergio Aguero is in England today for the Europa Cup semi-final against Liverpool, and refused to be drawn on any talk about a possible move to Chelsea this summer, but he did admit that he would be holding talks with Atletico in June.

The young Atletico Madrid striker Sergio Aguero is now ready to leave the club that made him into a star, and has been discussing the relative merits of joining the three main contenders for his signature, Chelsea, Man City and Inter Milan, and he has come out clearly in favour of a move to Stamford Bridge.

“Chelsea are a great club. They have become one of the most feared in Europe over recent years,” he said.

Despite announcements from Carlo Ancelotti that he has no intention of signing anyone in January, and Sergio Aguero stating categorically that he wouldn’t leave Atletico until June at the earliest, todays Mail is still convinced that a deal between the two clubs is still imminent.

The Chelsea transfer rumours look like they have come to a halt today. Yesterday all the papers were full of the news that Chelsea were about to make a £10m bid for the classy Croatian right back Darijo Srna, but today they are all saying that Ancelotti is not interested.

The Daily Mail, in a typical in-depth report said: Chelsea’s interest in Shakhtar Donetsk right back Darijo Srna has cooled after being put off by his wage demands and ineligibility to play in the Champions League.
