Reports are coming in today that Chelsea are targeting the Bayern Munich winger Bastian Schweinsteiger, after his team-mate Franck Ribery has decided that he would prefer a move to Spain with Real Madrid instead of West London.
The German international is valued at a cool £25m, and the Sun says that Carlo Ancelotti sees the left-footed midfielder as a perfect fit for his attacking diamond formation as he is comfortable playing in any midfield position.

The Bayern Munich midfielder Franck Ribery has so far refused to sign a new contract with the German giants and the club’s supremo Uli Hoeness has admitted they may be forced to sell the Frenchman this coming summer.
“If Ribery does not extend his contract in the spring, it would be irresponsible from a financial perspective to keep him,” said Bayern official Uli Hoeness.

There were many rumours that Chelsea were among the suitors for the French genius Franck Ribery during the summer, and today the Batern Munich boss Ulli Hoeness has confirmed that Chelsea made the “best bid” for the midfield star, but it still fell short of their crazy 100m euro valuation.
“We never received an offer over €100m,” Hoeness said. “The best bid game from Chelsea: €65m plus Bosingwa.”

The Bayern Munich star Franck Ribery has admitted that he has had many offers from clubs this summer, including Chelsea and Man Utd, but the recent rumours that he was going to force Munich to sell him are untrue.
“I never said I wanted to go to Real Madrid,” he told Telefoot.
“If I had wanted to leave, I would have made an announcement. What bothers me is that I have never spoken about it.

The German giants Bayern Munich have been chasing the Chelsea defender Jose Bosingwa since the beginning of the summer, and even up until last week they seemed pretty sure that Chelsea would release him.
But yesterday Bayern coach Louis van Gaal told Kicker, “He [Bosingwa] won’t come”.
This always seemed a strange story to me. Why would Chelsea let Bosingwa go after just one successful season at Stamford Bridge?

The Times has just reported that the French international midfielder Franck Ribery has decided that he has had enough of playing in Germany, and is going to force the club to sell him to a Premiership side, with Chelsea looking to be the likely destination.
There have been intermittent reports over the last few weeks that Chelsea are still chasing their “marquee signing”, but with Bayern Munich putting a ridiculous price on the Frenchman’s head, it looked like he was going to stay in Munich for one more year.

Chelsea continue their never-ending search for a “marquee” signing this summer, and, having lost out on Aguero, Ribery, Pirlo and De Rossi, they have decided to go for the next best thing. You guessed it, Erik Huseklepp!
It seems that the promising 24 year-old Norwegian international is going to be watched by Chelsea scouts in tonights game against Scotland, according to the Daily Mail.
