Carvalho joins Real Madrid for £6.7m! 0

The Chelsea defender Ricardo Carvalho has joined Real Madrid today for a fee of £6.7m this morning, it has been revealed on the Blues official website.

“Chelsea can confirm it has agreed terms with Real Madrid for the transfer of Carvalho,” the statement said.

“The transfer is subject to a medical and the player agreeing personal terms. Chelsea would like to thank Riccy for his six years of service, and we wish him well in his future career.”

The Chelsea defender Ricardo Carvalho thinks that the international break was part of the reason that Chelsea lost at Villa Park on Saturday, and thinks that overall Chelsea were the better team.

“We conceded two goals from two corners but I think we created more chances and could have had more goals and got the result,” he said.
