Bogovic’s agent, Will Sherling, said yesterday: “Asmir feels betrayed and let down by the club. He didn’t refuse to play against Shrewsbury and anyone who knows him knows he would never do that.

Chelsea and Adidas are sticking together 0

Posted on August 29, 2010 by admin

Chelsea started their partnership with Adidas back in 2006 and are now halfway through their present 8-year contract, but as the quality of the merchandise supplied is extremely popular, there is no reason why they could not remain in close contact for the forseeable future.

As Herbert Hainer from Adidas said at the time: “Adidas has a policy of working with the very best and we believe Chelsea Football Club represents just that,”

The Chelsea coach Carlo Ancelotti says that he would have had zero success last season if he hadn’t had Ray Wilkins around to act as his interpreter.

Ancelotti said: “One of the reasons I fit into the locker room was thanks to the fundamental role played by Ray Wilkins, my number two and my friend. It’s one thing to translate words – plenty of people can do that – but translating feelings is the gift of only a select few.

Chelsea ended last season with a 8-0 win over Wigan at the Bridge, and they carried on the same fashion by hitting six past West Brom. Although Florent Malouda opened the scoring in the 5th minute, Didier Drogba scored yet another hat-trick in his quest for a second consecutive Golden Boot, just as he did against Wigan.

Di Matteo won many medals with Chelsea, including an FA Cup medal when he scored the fastest goal ever in the Final, but he doesn’t even keep them at home. “My father has all my medals. I’m not the kind of person to keep those sorts of things.” he said.

Posted on August 05, 2010 by admin

Chelsea finished their tour of Germany last night with yet another defeat, this time in Hamburg. It was a comedy of errors yet again as every goal was more due to defending mistakes rather than attacking qualities.

Michael Essien did well to take advantage of a terrible back pass to give Lampard the opening goal, and Petric pounced on a Yuri Zhirkov backpas to level the scores.
