Chelsea veteran Frank Lampard is said to have turned down a huge £250K a week two-year deal at Guizhou Renhe, Where Didier Drogba and Nicholas Anelka are currently plying their trade.
The Chinese Super League side declared that they had signed the Chelsea legend on their official website, claiming he would be becoming their club captain.

Chelsea no.1 Petr Cech has refused to accept that Frank Lampard has no chance of being offered an extension to his contract, despite reports suggesting he has been told to leave.
Lampard has been in fine form for the Blues in recent weeks, scoring 5 goals in his last 7 games.
Despite his recent form, reports emanating out of the Bridge suggest the England veteran’s future has already been decided, with Roman Abramovich more than happy to let the 34 year-old go.

Chelsea scored 4 goals in their 4-0 demolition of Stoke City today, giving the hosts their first home loss since February of last year.
Chelsea have to thank Stoke’s Jonathan Walters for their first two goals, with two defensive headers beating Begovic in the hosts goal on the stroke of half time, and then again just after the hour mark.
Juan Mata was tackled in the box by Robert Huth, and went down quite easily (it has to be said) to earn the penalty on 65. Frank Lampard steps up, and pounds the ball into the roof of the net, with the keeper having no chance. .....Read more...

Chelsea are said to have put Guingamp midfielder Giannelli Imbula at the top of their January shortlist, after receiving highly encouraging scout reports from their top scouts.
The 20 year-old is a regular for Guingamp in the French second-tier, and has been watched closely by London rivals Arsenal and Queens Park Rangers.
Chelsea are confident of pipping their rivals to his signature, and are expected to reopen negotiations with the club within the next week.
Imbula has a £6million release clause in his contract, and is apparently unavailable for a penny less. Chelsea are likely to negotiate on the price, with the offer of letting them keep him in their playing squad until the end of the season. .....Read more...

Chelsea interim manager Rafa Benitez gave the biggest hint yet that Frank Lampard and the other “legends” may be on their way out in the near future.
Lampard and Ashley Cole’s contracts are due to expire at the end of the season, and have yet to be offered new contracts. It had been reported that Ashley would be offered a one-year extension to his deal, with Frank’s agent claiming that the Blues will not be offering the 34 year-old a new deal. Chelsea are said to be eyeing up a move for Real Betis midfielder Beñat Etxebarria, who is available for €20million.
The 25 year-old’s contract is set to expire in 18 months, leading various suitors to believe he could be available for a cut-price deal.

Chelsea captain John Terry has claimed that the Blues should retire Frank Lampard’s jersey number, as a tribute to his contribution to the club.
Lampard is set to leave the Blues on a free-transfer at the end of the season, with Roman Abramovich reluctant to extend the 34 year-old’s contract.

Frank Lampard put in a man of the match performance yesterday in Chelsea’s 2-1 win over Everton at Goodison Park yesterday, but admits he still has no offer on the table.
The England central midfielder’s current deal is set to expire at the end of the season, and the 34 year-old is allowed to talk to foreign clubs about a free-transfer in the summer as of tomorrow.

Chelsea veteran midfielder Frank Lampard praises David Luiz, after the defender put in a good display in a midfield role in the 8-0 drubbing of Aston Villa.
David Luiz has been tipped to make his mark in midfield for some time, and with John Obi Mikel’s African Cup of Nations trip coming up in a few weeks and Oriol Romeu’s six month injury, he is expected to be utilized in that position over the next month.
