Chelsea are rumoured to be keen on saving Ex-Spurs midfielder Luka Modric, who has been out-of-favour at Real Madrid.

Modric was recently given the unfortunate title of worst Spanish signing of the season, by Spanish daily newspaper Marca who asked readers to vote for the best and worst signings this season. Barcelona’s Jordi Alba was voted best signing.

Modric narrowly beat Alex song to the fore, who joined Barcelona from Arsenal over the summer. The Croatian has played 22 games in all competitions since his move over the summer, 9 of which he made from the bench. .....Read more...

Rumours linking Luka Modric to a possible move to Chelsea were snubbed by Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp who admits that Tottenham isn’t interested in selling regardless of the offer.

“I don’t expect Luka to want to go anywhere. I think the Chelsea deal is dead,” Redknapp said

“He’s happy here. I don’t know where he’s at with his contract talks with the chairman, but I’m sure they’ll get something done.

“I don’t see there being a problem with Luka. No matter what Chelsea offer, he isn’t going. Not a chance.” .....Read more...

Chelsea have put in a lot of effort trying to sign either Udinese’s Alexis Sanchez or Santos’ Neymar, but as they they seem to have failed to secure either player it is being reported that Ander Villa-Boas will instead opt for Porto’s Moutinho.

Chelsea are facing stiff competition for Sanchez and Neymar. Neymar is thought to favour joining Jose Mourinho’s Real Madrid while Sanchez is hoping to join Barcelona. According to FootyBunker Moutinho would be a target for Villas-Boas if Chelsea miss out on the two other players. .....Read more...
