Arsenal v Blackpool extended highlights – The Walcott Show!

Arsenal always seem to have lots of injuries before every match, but they had no problem putting out a winning side anyway. Robin Van Persie and Cesc Fabregas played for the last half-hour, but the star of the show was Theo Walcott with a great hat-trick.

Blackpool were unluckily reduced to ten men, which ended any chance they had, but Arsene Wenger was very pleased with the overall performance.

He said after the game: “I believe overall we played always well going forward but in fairness Blackpool when they had 11 on the pitch they looked like they could create. They tried to play in a positive way. We looked very dangerous when we won the ball and I believe we have matured because when we were 3-0 up at half-time we didn’t become sloppy. We kept playing the way we wanted to play and overall it became a comfortable win.”

There’s a long way to go, but Arsenal are looking sharp….
