Serbia may have beaten the mighty Germans, but the Socceroos put them firmly in their place and can go home with their heads held high after this 2-1 win.

The first half ended 0-0 but the second half came alive when Tim Cahill put Australia in front with his trademark header, and when Holman put in his second of the tournament the result was never in doubt.

Pantelic pulled one back five minutes from time, but it was too little too late.
