Last week Chelsea made numerous attempts to sign Porto’s Alvaro Pereira, but as we all know the player has remained in Portugal as the two clubs failed to agree on a price.
There is breaking news today suggesting that Chelsea made direct contact with the player rather than going through Porto. That is of course against the rules laid down by UEFA and FIFA and if found guilty could land the club in serious trouble.
Jorge Nuno Pinto da Costa is the club president at Porto and he has made the claim about Chelsea today. He said, “Without Porto’s authorisation. They made him an offer.”
It will be interesting to see how this story develops over the coming days and weeks. It may well of course just be sour grapes on behalf of the Porto President as they are still coming to terms with the loss of Andre Villas-Boas, but if proved to be correct there could be serious consequences for Chelsea.
Why do they need this player at Porto at all sittning on the bench? Chelsea made a great offer I think Porto just wants to avoid other chelsea attemts to sign their players.
We didnt sighn the player, but on serious problam ar we?
