Chelsea rumour Aug 26th – Chelsea and Inter to fight over Di maria

The Daily Mail still keeps churning out rumours about possible arrivals at Stamford Bridge, despite Carlo Ancelotti announcing that there would no more arrivals this summer.

The latest one started off with Chelsea checking out three Benfica players, but today it has been narrowed down to the Argentina winger Angel Di Maria. They state that Frank Arnesen has been to Portugal to scout Di Maria, but the Mail have just reported that Arnesen was in Holland looking at Jonathon De Guzman!

They do repeat that Arnesen was also looking at the other two players, David Luiz and Fabio Coentrao, at the end of the article, but it all just sounds like empty speculation to me.

I would rather believe Ancelotti’s statement that an unsubstantiated rumour from the Daily Mail!
