Chelsea transfer rumours Nov 17th 09 – David Villa, Sergio Ramos and Jack Rodwell

With the international break giving the papers very little to talk about, they have decided to throw a few new Chelsea transfer rumours in the pot to fill up the back pages.

Todays rumours are big headline grabbers. They say that the Valencia and Spain hitman David Villa is Carlo Ancelotti’s top target, closely followed by the top-class Real Madrid defender Serio Ramos.

It seems Chelsea are willing to splash out £50m on the pair of them, and want the deal done quickly in case their appeal against the transfer ban is turned down by CAS.

Jack Rodwell is a highly promising young England player, and Chelsea have reportedly had a £14m offer turned down by Everton, but still intend to go back with a new offer shortly.

It is also rumoured that Man Utd are waiting in the wings to see how the situation develops.

David Moyes is determined to keep Rodwell for at least one more season before letting the young star move on to bigger and better things, so it will take an enormous offer to prise him away from Goodison Park.
