Essien – Watch out Arsenal, Chelsea are in confident mood!

The Chelsea midfielder Michael Essien Was extremely pleased with his two goals against Wolves as Chelsea won a record 12 home games in row, and enjoyed the freedom given to him in the absence of Frank Lampard. He says the easy win was the perfect confidsence booster ahead of next weeks game against Arsenal at the Emirates.

“It is always good to win and we play Arsenal very soon and this will boost our confidence,’ he said.

“It is always good to get new records and that will boost our confidence as well.

“We put on a great show. We got our three goals very early in the game and we did not give up, we kept going and we managed to keep focused.”

He then went on to say that he will player werever Carlo Ancelotti asks him too, but he proved that he is not short of attacking skills when asked. He only wishes he could have got one more!

“For me personally, I don’t mind where I am asked to play but there was a formation change and I was asked to play more attacking than defending. It is part of my game and wherever I am asked to play, I try to do my job for the team.” he continued.

“I did try my luck but I could not get my hat-trick but the most important thing was we got three points.”

Frank Lampard will still be missing against Arsenal, but the Gunners will know that Chelsea have got a more than able substitute in Michael Essien.
