Hodgson – There's no problem between me and Dalglish

Roy Hodgson is certain that he will have no problem working with Kenny Dalglish at Liverpool, despite taking the coaching job from the Anfield legend.

“Kenny was entitled to suggest to the board he didn’t just want to be part of the selection process, he wanted to be considered for the job.” Hodgson said.

“The board made it clear to me that they didn’t want that to happen and, as far as I’m concerned, it shouldn’t affect my relationship with Kenny in any way.

“I’m happy to have him on board at this club in the role that he has taken on.

“When you have someone like Kenny it’s better to have him at the club for 10 to 15 years just like Sir Bobby Charlton has been at Manchester United.

“There are so many roles that man can play to help Liverpool and that will outlive my tenure at the club – no question.”
