Every blue-blooded Chelsea fan love to see Tottenham soundly beaten, and there must have been many chuckles down Fulham Broadway when they saw that Spurs were losing 4-0 at half-time to the European Champions.
But you have to take into account that Tottenham had lost their goalkeeper Heurelho Gomes to a red card after just eight minutes, so it is hardly surprising they were over-run by the Italian masters.
But they talk about “a game of two halves”, and never was it more appropriate than here. The ten men of Tottenham played like they had the superiority and silenced the San Siro fans with a massive comeback. Gareth Bale started terrorising the Inter defence and scored an amazing hat-trick before the whistle stopped their surge for the equaliser.
You may hate Tottenham, but you can’t deny that they can be entertaining at times!
