There have been constant rumours that the ex-Chelsea coach Jose Mourinho is being lined up to replace Sir Alex Ferguson at Man Utd when he finally retires, but the Portugese manager is confident that his old club can hold off the Red Devils in the last few games to win back the title they last won while he was in charge.
Mourinho said: “I expect Chelsea to win the title.
“They have enough experience not to let the advantage slip with just three games to go.
“Manchester United are breathing down their throats but they would rather be in Chelsea’s position and not have to rely on them to slip-up to claim a fourth successive title.”
“Chelsea have gone a long time without winning anything of major significance and the players will not lose sight of that and what it means to the supporters of the club.
“You would expect them to win their home games against Stoke and Wigan.
“The difficulty will come at Liverpool, but Chelsea will know what is at stake and they have a reasonably good record against them.”
Let’s hope you are right Jose!
