The game between Manchester United and Chelsea at Old Trafford ended in a stalemate yesterday as both team struggled to outscore each other.
In the game, the captain of the Three Lions Wayne Rooney mistakenly tackled Oscar when he caught behind his leg and the Brazil international looked hurt. The coach of Chelsea Guus Hiddink has dispel the report that the player was hurt.
After the match, Hiddink was asked if Oscar left the match unscathed and he responded thus:
“@ChelseaFC Fabregas had a temperature so as not able to travel. He says Oscar is okay after Rooney Challenge. #CFC”
This will put to rest the reports that the Brazilian will be out of action for as many as three months.
Rooney was given a given a yellow card after the game and he apologised for the career threatening injury he meted on the Brazilian.
Along his other attacking team mates, Oscar was more involved in defending than attack for Chelsea as they were outplayed by the Red Devils.
United failed to take the pressure off their manager Louis Van Gaal who has been under pressure to deliver. The draw for United meant they have failed to win their last seven games.
Meanwhile, Chelsea moved just a place to 14th on the Premier league table. They next game will be the second phase of the season and they will play Crystal Palace.
Hiddink has now failed to win in his first two matches.
