The ex-Chelsea winger Arjen Robben is feeling sorry for his old club, and thinks that they will struggle because they can’t sign any new players.
Robben has just joined Bayern Munich from Real Madrid and still has a place in his heart for the Blues, and he is worried about the effect this ban could have on his old team.
He told Sky News: “It is very bad news for the club. It is still my club in England. I had a great time there so I am feeling very sorry for them.”
He was then asked if it would be a struggle for Chelsea? “Yes. It is a two-year ban and they cannot buy any new players. But they have a great squad.”
Well this looks like a very bad attempt at filling up space by Sky. For starters, Chelsea don’t really need to buy anyone at the moment. To be honest, as they bought Sturridge, Turnbull and Matic without letting anyone go, it makes me think they may have known about the possibilty beforehand.
And one other thing, it is not a TWO-YEAR ban, it is a two TRANSFER WINDOW ban, a completely different kettle of fish! Get your facts right Arjen!
