Villas-Boas Clashes With Mourinho
The new Chelsea manager Villas-Boas is looking to go head to head with Mourinho in regards to the signing of the multifunctional Benfica defender Coentrao. Real Madrid and Chelsea are both prepared to trigger the player’s release clause of £27 million.
Although Coentrao is thought to prefer Real Madrid, according to the Telegraph Chelsea will offer better personal terms which may tempt him to London.
Villas-Boas is taking more control in transfer affairs than previous Chelsea managers and has a shopping list of targets that includes the likes of Porto’s Falcao and possibly Tottenham’s Luka Modric.
But it looks like they will lose another battle with Real Madrid when it comes to Neymar, who looks likely to head to Spain.
Whether Real Madrid also succeed in signing Coentrao may also depend on what happens with Ashley Cole, who is also thought to be a target for them. Madrid would be happy to let Chelsea have Coentrao if they can buy Cole from them. Chelsea on their part would be happy with that arrangement as Coentrao is younger at 23, more versatile and may fit in better with Villas-Boas’ philosophy of a strong team and that Chelsea players should be good social role models.

Chelsea should give van holt a better chance the guy is more skillfull pass Ashely cole,we need only a creative midfielder that all,Neymar should go and sleep.
we should forget about left wing back for now ’cause we have ashley cole, van anholt,yury zhirkov. Lets concentrate on getting creative attacking midfielders like pastore, moutinho, Muller; and two good dribblling wingers. This way our stikers can score as many goals that can hand us a champions league trophy.
