After last weeks unbelievable comeback against Arsenal, Wigan assured their safety in the Premier League, but West Ham have been left on tenterhooks at as they struggled to stay above the relegation zone.
But today West Ham and Gianfranco Zola made great strides towards staying in the top flight by beating Wigan at Upton Park.
Wigan made them suffer though, after coming back twice from behind during the game, but the Hammers came good in the end. A briliant strike from Scott Parker made it 3-2 and gave Zola and West Ham three precious points in a season where they looked very likely to go down.
