£100,000-A-week World Cup Star Agrees To Sign For Chelsea, To PEN Four Years Deal Ahead Of January Window

WillianChelsea star Willian is set to be offered a new £100,000-a-week contract to keep him at Stamford Bridge in a bid to wave off interest from other clubs.

Willian has arguably been Chelsea’s best player so far this term and it would be a smart move for Chelsea to tie him down to a new contract with the January transfer window fast approaching.

The torrid campaign for the London outfit continued Saturday in a 1-0 loss to Stoke City at the Britannia Stadium, a game which saw Marko Arnautovic score the lone goal which was eventually the winner for the Potters.

Willian joined Chelsea for a fee of £30m from Russian side Anzhi Makachkala in 2013, the deal was said to be a hijacked one with Spurs close to signing him before Chelsea snapped him up.

Willian has two-and-a-half years left on his current contract, which runs up until June 2018. But he is now likely to be offered a pay rise and a new long-term contract.

Willian was expected to see his first-team chances dwindle this season with the arrival of Pedro Rodriguez from Barcelona in the summer, but Willian has put in superb performances which has cemented his place in the Chelsea starting lineup.

Willian has scored multiple free kicks this season, his most recent set piece exploit was against Dynamo Kiev last Tuesday with his goal salvaging the win for Chelsea.

Willian’s top drawer performances during the dark days at Chelsea has seen the club’s management make securing the player’s future at Stamford Bridge a top priority.
