Chelsea have been linked with more interesting transfer targets to and from the Stamford bridge over the past few days, and the build up to the July 1 transfer window continues to get interesting day by day. In what could be called a mutual-desire transfer, Chelsea have gotten the green light to sign Shakhtar Donetsk striker, Douglas Costa. The 24 year-old has been a long-time admirer of Chelsea, and he has told his club of his desires to leave by summer. Chelsea are said to be preparing a 20 million pounds bid for the services of the Brazil international, who will be part of the nation’s squad in the upcoming Copa America. His 5 year-contract with the Ukrainian side lapses by summer, and obviously, he won’t be renewing. This deal is bound to go through.
In a rather surprising news, Italian outfit, Sampdoria are nearing in on a deal that will take Kurt Zouma permanently away from the Stamford bridge by summer. The club is making changes to the team, and a new coach, in Walter Zenga, is on his way. And he wants a more physical side. The club’s president, the outspoken Massimo Ferrero has expressed his desires to lure the 20 year-old Zouma away from the Blues. He has already gotten Niklas Moisander from Ajax. Zouma’s exit however, doesn’t look certain, as he is just beginning to grow into the first team in just his debut season. He went ahead to make 26 appearances, and has gained the coach’s trust. It is believed he is the heir apparent to the almost 35 years old Terry. And it is expected that he will stay with the club despite the heavy interests from Italy.
Colombia national side new captain, Falcao is almost a Chelsea player. As the Manchester United flop has already agreed to a pay cut, and is likely to be on a season long loan at the Stamford bridge next season. The 29 year-old wants the deal sorted out before June 14, when he will be leading his country to the Copa America in Chile. And that isn’t likely far from happening.
