11 Goals In 10 Games Striker Could Join Chelsea, But German Club Also Interested

Few days ago, news emerged that Chelsea are interested in signing Premier league hottest Striker Christian Benteke from Aston Villa. According to the reports then, Cheslea boss Jose Mourinho has indentified the big Belgian striker as the ideal back for Diego Costa who can’t seem to be able to stop injurying his hamstring.

Benteke who has scored 11 goals in the last 10 games for Villa in all competition after struggling with injuries at the beginning of the season is now reportedly on the radar of high flying German Bundesliga side Wolfsburg according to highly reliable German media powerhouse Bild.

Benteke who has also been linked to Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester United, Juventus and Milan has reportedly caught the eyes of Wolfsburg who are keen on making an impact in the premier league next season and as such have decided to make big money move for several high profile players which includes Lukaku, Chelsea’s Mohammed Salah among others.

However, it remains to be seen what champions the German deputy champions have should Mourinho be truly interested in signing the 24-year-old striker. Should Mourinho decide he wants to get the striker he is ready to pay the reported £24 million Villa reportedly want for him, I do not think Wolfsburg will have any chance unless Benteke is choosing them for fear of not getting regular playing time with Chelsea.
