12 Goals In 11 Games – Chelsea Could Sign £25m Rated £80k-A-Week Striker

Many strikers have been linked to Chelsea in the last few days. Icardi, Benzema, Dybala and many others have been linked. But lately, a new name entered the fray. Thats Aston Villa’s big Belgian striker Christian Bentek.

According to the reports, the blues are plannning a summer move for the striker who has scored 12 goals in the last 11 matches which has helped Villa escape relegation. The blues are reportedly ready to pay as much as £25 million to get Villa to sanction a move for the player and have already started discussion personal terms with the player’s representative.

The reports claim Benteke will be paid £80,000 a week should he agree to team up with Jose Mourinho’s team. This wage offer will be a significant increase on his reported £60,000 a week wage at Aston Villa currently. Aside the big money offer, Chelsea will hope the lure of champions league football with the blues will be strong enough to convince the player to sign up.
