18 Goals In 37 Games Striker Set For Chelsea Transfer

Bertrand Traoré

With the future of the up to 30 Chelsea players on loan not all definitely guaranteed at the Stamford bridge, it is certain most of them would be snatched up during this transfer window for a permanent deal. And one of such is Burkina Faso international, Bertrand Traoré who just completed his loan term at Eredivisie side, Vitesse. German league side, Borussia Dortmund have recently come out to declare intentions of signing the 19 year-old attacking midfielder for the coming season.

There have been reports that Chelsea won’t hesitate to part ways with the player, although Vitesse coach, Peter Bosz declares Mourinho is crazy about the player following his performances in the Netherlands league last season. Traore scored 18 goals in 37 games for the side, and helped them seal a spot in next season’s Europa league. 14 of his goals came in the league alone. Mourinho has called him one of the best talents of his age, and although he has seemingly impressed his parent club, but it doesn’t seem there is vacancy at the Stamford bridge right now.

Dortmund are said to be readying a bid of 15 million pounds for the young winger, who also possesses great striking qualities. The German side hasn’t been able to get a suitable replacement for Lewandoski, as his supposed summer replacement, Ciro Immobile turned out to be an outright flop in their campaign. And they are ready to show him the exit door, as it doesn’t look like the incoming coach will have him in his plans. There are suggestions that Thomas Tuchel might have made demands for the club to get Traore as he takes over the team soon.
