With all the top European clubs gearing for the re-opening of the winter transfer market slated for the January of 2016, Mourinho is looking to pull one of the biggest transfer deal of the window.
a prolific goal poacher under the tutelage of Mourinho at Inter Milan, Chelsea are reportedly preparing a £215,000-per-week wage bill for Sweden international and Paris Saint Germain forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic, this is according to reports.
Chelsea’s challenge this season has stemmed from the strikers inability to score goals. The trio of Loic Remy, Radamel Falcao and Zlatan Ibrahimovic have scored five goals in all competitions this term and that has led Chelsea to be actively rooting for better options in the market.
Ibrahimovic, 34, has not stopped scoring despite his age. He is currently the Ligue One top scorer with 14 goals in 12 matches and Mourinho is reported keen on reuniting with the player.
It is understood that the player is in the final year of his contract and he has said he will not renew the contract as he is keen on a new experience. However, is might not be at Chelsea for long-term but he will be a quick fix to the current woes of Chelsea.
Chelsea’s other challenge is that the player might not be willing to move in the winter as he will not be eligible to play in the Champions league for Chelsea but a deal in the summer is probable.
