Abramovich SANCTIONS Move For Powerful 6ft 2 TALL £35m Rated C – Not Stones

According to a report by Express, Chelsea have set up the pursuit of high rated young Brazilian centre back Marquinhos of PSG. Last summer, there were rumours that the 21 year old centre back was on his way to either Manchester United or Chelsea but nothing came out of the reports.

John Stones was instead openly pursued by Chelsea. Bids of £20 million, £30 million and £37 million was reportedly rejected by Everton for John Stones and with the blues not doing so well this season, it seems Marquinhos has been identified by as the messiah. Although reports have it that Chelsea will table another bid for John Stones but express seem to think otherwise.

The powerful 6ft 2″tall Marquinhos has been reduced to a bit part player for PSG this season having lost his place to David Luiz. Manager Luarent Blanc has preferred David Luiz and Thiago Silva combination so far.

The versatility of Marquinhos is one thing that Chelsea could do with right now especially with the fact that he can play centre back and right back position where fumbling Ivanoic plays.

Serbian international Ivanoic is said to be on his way out of the club in January and with John Terry not getting younger, bringing in Marquinhos will be akin to killing two birds with one stone.
