It was always going to happen and today news has come out that Michael Essien has done his knee in and was taken to a local hospital by Ambulance.
Essien had an hamstring injury leading up to the tournament and was always struggling injury wise anyway and if anything needed a rest and to be taken care of by the clubs doctors, but why would any International team care about a clubs concerns.
Essien is now of course a serious doubt for Ghana’s upcoming game against Burkina Faso, a game they have to win and to be honest i hope they lose and Essien makes his way back to England so we can deal with him ourselves.
That said the Ghana coach at this stage still does not know the scale of the injury,
“I don’t know the extent of the injury, but we will find out later,” Ghana coach Milovan Rajevac said.
Great just great.
