Agent: Chelsea target Cavani to quit Napoli
Edinson Cavani´s agent Mino Raiola has admitted he believes Cavani will quit Napoli in June for one of the European giants.
Raiola said: “For now Cavani will stay, but I wouldn’t be so sure about that once June arrives.
“I’m sure there are clubs ready to pay that, but only five clubs in the world can afford to do that in Barcelona, Real Madrid, Manchester City, Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain.
“You are intelligent enough on your own to understand where Cavani will play his football next season.”
Chelsea have been widely reported to be in the hunt for a top striker, with Fernando Torres failing to find consistency in a Chelsea shirt.
The Spaniard has showed glimpses of brilliance this season, but has played poorly in 50% of his appearances this term.
Chelsea are a big club and need a proven goalscorer to lead the troops.
Demba Ba is expected to be confirmed by Chelsea in the next 24 hours, with Fernando Torres to compete with Ba for the lone-striker role.
Torres will be given until the end of the season to prove himself at Stamford Bridge, and will be forced to leave the Blues to make way for a big striker at the end of the season, should he fail.
