Alex Teixeira To Become A Chelsea Player This Week

Chelsea are set to complete their first signing of the January transfer window. Shakhtar Donetsk’s Alex Teixeira is expected to be a Chelsea player in the coming days. With the new area of caretaker manager, Guus Hiddink now on the way, Chelsea will be hoping the Brazilian galvanizes the team to a strong second half of the season. The player confirmed Chelsea’s interest in an interview with The Metro. He said ‘I know there is interest from Chelsea and there have been some talks, but at the moment nothing is concrete. Now I just want to go on vacation in Brazil then I will see what the future holds.’ Those negotiations the player spoke about are set to yield fruits.

His arrival may spell doom for former Arsenal playmaker, Cesc Fabregas. The player has been more in the news for the wrong reasons rather than for his performances on the pitch. Many fingers have pointed at him as being the supposed ‘rat’ in the team and a key promoter of the supposed rebellion from the players that forced out former coach Jose Mourinho. The player has only 2 assists this season having led the way from start to finish in the assists chart last season.

The 25-year old Brazilian has been in great form this season for his Ukranian club. He has scored an incredible 22 goals from his attacking midfield position in just 15 games. He has been capped at junior level for his country but is yet to be capped at senior level.

Chelsea could really do with this goal machine.
