According to reports in the English media, Chelsea and Aston Villa are reportedly in talks over a deal concerning the England’s second division player of the year, Patrick Bamford. The Chelsea forward, who is currently on loan at Middlesbrough has had an amazing season with the club, scoring 19 goals already. He was also voted Young player of the year in the Championship.
The England under-21 striker, signed a 5-year deal worth £1.5 million back in early 2012 with Chelsea F.C. He was loaned to Milton Keynes Dons summer that year, and he did score 14 goals in his 23 appearances over a period of six months. He moved to Derby County in January 2014, where he scored 25 goals. It is such consistent form that has made him a target for Premiership clubs, with Aston Villa being the most interested in him.
The Villans’ coach, Tim Sherwood has seen the striker as the best addition to his club, particularly because of his pace and youth. Crystal Palace, Everton and Southampton have all also shown interest in the budding striker. Although Patrick Bamford is growing into a fine forward, yet, he will find it hard breaking into the Chelsea team this season. And Mourinho wants him to play in the Premier League in order to get more feel of topflight football and exposure. Aston Villa, who will be playing Arsenal in next month’s F.A cup final, is the perfect fit for the 21 years old. Both clubs are close to agreeing a deal that will bring the forward to the league by summer.
Chelsea should sign this winger Griezamnn so tat we will have a balance team.
