22 year old French midfielder, Paul Pogba is no doubt the most talked-about player as far as transfer speculations go right now. Towards the coming transfer window for summer sales, the current Juventus player has been linked with moves to Manchester United, Real Madrid, Barcelona, PSG and most interestingly Chelsea. But he will only end up at one club, and that club doesn’t seems to be the Blues. His 4-year contract with Serie A champions, Juventus expires next year, and Chelsea had earlier seemed eager to snatch him up. But with the latest development, the midfielder should be heading to France next summer.
Ligue one giants, Paris Saint-Germain has reportedly agreed to a £165,000 per week deal for the prodigy, after he held talks with club’s officials, PSG president Nasser Al Khelaifi included. The player is said to be keen to move to the French capital where he spent his childhood years. The club’s president has expressed his delight at this, and Juventus are making other plans for his replacement.
Chelsea initially had hopes to make a move for the Frenchman, and had plan to sell Brazilian duo – Oscar and Ramires in order to bring him in. But Mourinho personally has not shown interest whatsoever in the player, who interestingly has the features the coach admires in a player. He seems to have had no plans for him as part of his campaign next season. The coach was rather looking at another French player, and yet-to-be-capped Giannelli Imbula.
He believes he will do well pairing Nemanja Matic as a deep-lying midfielder. Mourinho believes in the defensive midfielder, and has hailed him following his defensive heroics this season in the heart of the midfield. The 26 years old Serbian national has had 32 league appearances for the club this season, and has put on consistent excellent displays which has led to the benching of Ramires and Mikel. Pogba won’t be at London next season, but with the likes of Nemanja Matić, the rest of the squad and other incoming additions, the Blues have nothing to fear.
