Chelsea are reportedly considering making a return bid for Croatian Starlet Andrej Kramaric during the January transfer window.
Following their horrible start to the premier league campaign, Chelsea will be looking to bolster their attacking options and they will be looking to take full advantage of the January transfer window.
Chelsea tabled a bid for Kramaric last season but he chose to sign for Leicester City instead for a fee which is believed to be in the region of £9m. He has bagged two goals in 13 appearances for the Foxes since his arrival at the King Power Stadium.
Kramaric started his football career in his hometown club Dinamo Zagreb and holds the record as the top youth goalscorer in the club’s history. He made his first team debut at the age of 17.
Jose Mourinho is keen on adding another forward to the side with the likes of Diego Costa and Radamel Falcao not finding the back of the net regularly, Kramaric might just be the right player to turn things around for the Blues.
Diego Costa has been unimpressive so far this season with just 3 goals to his name this term, Mourinho will be looking to Kramaric to pose the real attacking threat should he be signed from Leicester in January.
Mourinho is also looking into the Possibility of Signing French striker Antoine Griezmann from Atletico Madrid although a deal for Kramaric would be more realistic as the transfer of Griezmann would command a heavy fee.
Kramaric will be eager to sign for Chelsea as he hasn’t seen much playing time with Leicester this season with Jamie Vardy on mercurial form scoring 12 goals in 12 appearances so far this term.
Vardy is currently on a 9 game consecutive goal run and a goal in Leicester’s next game will see him draw level with Manchester United legend Rudd Van Nistlerooy with 10 consecutive goals.
Kramarić was capped a total of 53 times for various Croatian youth teams and scored 22 goals in return. His first national team appearance came against the Bavarian national team on 31 March 2005.
