Almost Done – Brazilian Arrives London To Complete Chelsea Move

With only a few dotted lines to be filled and a couple of issues to be sorted out; Chelsea are close to sealing their first signing of the summer.

According to Sport Witness, Brazilian youngster Nathan is “still in London,” and is yet to seal his proposed move to the Stanford Bridge despite several reports in the media. Contrary to several reports emanating from the media in Brazil, negotiations are still going on and nothing is sealed yet.

While news on the player’s proposed move to the current league leaders has sort of fizzled out in the last couple of day, it does look like no announcement would be made by either party anytime soon.

However, in a recent development, which could trouble Chelsea fans a bit, the player who was reported to have passed a medical and was on the verge of sealing his move to the Blues, posted a picture on Instagram where he was snapped alongside Liverpool playmaker Coutinho in London.

Both players were said to have gone out on a dinner in London; which confirms the fact that he is still in the capital.

Considering recent events where players who were on the verge of sealing a move to a particular club in the EPL were hijacked by other clubs, including Chelsea (Willian); the current league leaders could be looking above their shoulders. However, this may not be the case as the Sport Witness did report that the number of agents surrounding the deal could be holding up things a bit. Everyone it seems wants a piece of the action, not when it has to do with the Blues, and of course, a promising youngster, whom many have regarded as the next big thing in Brazilian football.

Chelsea on the other hand might not be in a hurry to announce the deal, which could be another reason why things are being held up a bit. The fact that there are no updates on the signing is not an indication that the deal is dead.

Chelsea’s focus at the moment is centred on winning the league, which is only a couple of matches away, starting with next Sunday’s top of the table clash with London rivals Arsenal. A win for the Stanford Bridge side could bring them even closer to winning the EPL title, while a draw won’t be a bad result either.
