Recall earlier today we reported Italian serie A giants are interested in signing Chelsea’s Ramires? New development has it that the Italian have actually reached an agreement that will see the Brazilian join the Serie A defending champion. According to Gazzetta Dello Sport, the blues and Juventus have reach an agreement and £35m will be paid by the Italians to acquire the services of the Brazilian.
Ramires has fallen out of the first team ever since Jose Mourinho took over the managment of the team and if you believe Gazzetta dello Sport, the Portueges is favourably disposed to letting the former Benfica star join Juve.
Although the paper did not say whether Chelsea will try to use the Brazilian as a sweetener to sign Paul Pogba who has been linked with Chelsea, will however be a factor. Should Chelsea sell Ramires to Juve, they would have laid for themselves a safe landing if the club ever wants to sign Paul Pogba.
However, it has to be said that being a bench warmer at Chelsea for the last two seasons, it is almost impossible for any club to pay as much as £35m for the Brazilian. Taking nothing anyway from the player, £35m is never a price that his talent and form in the last two football years can command. Not even in the currently over inflated market.
