ALMOST DONE – Chelsea AGREE To Pay €60m Release Clause Of 20 Goals In 20 Games Attacker As Frustration Grows Over Diego Costa – Not Griezmann

Goal-Celebration-Chelsea-vs-HullChelsea will no doubt bring in a new striker come January in order to bolster their options in front of goal, and having identified Borussia Dortmund striker, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang as a target for the Winter transfer window, the Blues aren’t relenting in their pursuit of the goal machine.

The Premier League defending champions have endured a disastrous start to the season and their attack has been at fault for their fall from grace. The trio of Diego Costa, Loic Remy and Radamel Falcao have just 6 goals in between them across all competitions thus far this season; a poor return from the strikers.

The club are willing to bring in the Gabon international from the Signal Iduna Park by January, and are ready to meet the demands of the Bundesliga side for his services. Dortmund have slashed an asking price of €60 million on the 26 year-old who has been in splendid form for the Thomas Tuchel-side.

Although he has always expressed his desire for a move to the Nou Camp as Barcelona have recently shown interest in his services, but an EPL move looks to be in the offing, as he continues to talk about his love for the Premier League.

Chelsea will have to shake off strong competition from eternal rivals, Arsenal and Liverpool as both are also said to be interested in the services of the player. Aubameyang had 26 goals to his name last season and already has 14 League goals this season and would no doubt be a long-term solution to Chelsea’s striking problems if his services is successfully secured.
