According to metro, Chelsea are close to their first summer signing. According to the British paper, Chelsea are close to sealing a deal for high rated England under 23 and West Ham left back Aaron Cresswell. Recall yesterday we wrote that West Ham are open to selling the player should a bid in the region of £20million be made for the defender.
Metro claims the Blues are ready to pay £20million for the player who is seen as a replacement for Luis Filipe who is likely to be re-sold to atletico Madrid. Cresswell who is reportedly being tracked by Arsenal and Manchester City is a 25 years old defender who plays mainly on the left side of the defensive but is good enough to play as a left winger as well.
He has been not just one of West Ham’s best players this season, but as a well as one of the best defenders in the English premier league this season. He has played a total of 33 games for West ham this season scoring 2 times and assisting his team mates to score four other times.
Should the reports be true and Chelsea should the player, it will make it easier for Jose Mourinho to sign Koke from Atletico Madrid as according to reports by AS sport, Atletico Madrid are open to selling the player to Chelsea if they let them have Luis Filipe and as well as £30 million.
