Ancelotti denies interest in Aguero ahead of Atletico clash

The Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti has totally denied that Chelsea are trying to line up a bid for the Atletico Madrid striker “Kun” Aguero ahead of tomorrows meeting between the two sides in the Champions League.

“For his age he (Aguero) is one of the most important and best-quality players in the world.

“Aguero is very young, he is a fantastic striker and has a lot of quality.

“Every big club are looking at this player, but we are not thinking of buying anyone again at this moment.”

Well if he says EVERY big club is looking at him, then Chelsea must be too LOL.

Ancelotti went on to stress the importance of the Champions League, and also highlighted how difficult it is to win it!

“The Champions League, for me, is the most important trophy of a season,” he said, “When I won it, as a player and as a coach, it was a fantastic moment in my career.”

“Chelsea have built history in the last years, a very good history because they’ve reached five semi-finals in six years,” he said.

“But it’s important for this club to stay in all the competitions until the end of the season. To win the Champions League is very, very difficult and everything has to go well to win it.”

He was also asked if he was satisfied with his first three months at the club. “I think, in this period, we’ve played good football sometimes,” he said.

“Sometimes it’s not always been that good. It’s not easy to play, always, good football. But I think that, in this moment, we have a good identity. We have to maintain this and play football like this for 90 minutes. I am happy because I think that, in these three months, we’ve improved.”

Chelsea certainly seem to be in a good run of form at the moment, and we all hope that they can carry this on tomorrow night in Madrid, even if he has vowed to rest players ahead of the Man Utd match coming up this weekend.
